Adding Multiple Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Methods in Okta (BYU–Hawaii)

You can enhance your account security and login flexibility by setting up more than one MFA method in Okta. Follow the steps below to add additional security methods.


Steps to Add Another MFA Method

  1. Go to the BYU–Hawaii Sign-On Portal

  2. Open Your Settings

    • Click your name in the upper right-hand corner

    • Select "My Settings" from the dropdown menu

  3. Manage Security Methods

    • On the "My Settings" page, click "Manage Security Methods"

  4. Add a New Method

    • Under "Security Key or Biometric Authenticator", click "Set up another"

Optional: Use Google Authenticator

  • Google Authenticator is also available as an MFA option

  • Note: Limited support may be available for Google Authenticator setup at this time
