Script: Troubleshoot Keyboard Not Working
1.
Start with Basic Questions:
Agent:
"Is the keyboard completely unresponsive, or are only some keys not working?"
If completely unresponsive:
Proceed to
Step 2

If only some keys are not working:
Skip to
Step 5
.

Check Physical Connection:
Agent:
"Let’s ensure the keyboard is properly connected."
If using a wired keyboard:
Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to the computer.
Try
plugging it into a different USB port

If using a wireless keyboard:
Check if the
batteries
are working or need replacement.
Make sure the
Bluetooth receiver or dongle
is properly connected.
Try
re-pairing
the keyboard via Bluetooth.

Restart the Computer:

"Sometimes, a simple restart can fix the issue."
Restart the computer and see if the keyboard starts working.
If the keyboard works in the BIOS (before the OS loads):
The problem is likely with the
operating system
or drivers.

Check for Driver Issues:

On
Windows
:
Open
Device Manager
→ Expand
Keyboards
.
Right-click the keyboard and
Uninstall Device
. Restart the computer, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

macOS

to ensure there are no conflicts.
Check if
Keyboard Settings
are properly configured.

Test with Another Device:

The issue is likely with the original computer’s configuration.
