Enterprise users are no longer asked to purchase their own network patch cables.
• Our current patch cable stock at BYUH is White, ordering Black
• ITI/CNC provide patch cables up to 25’. Lengths longer must be approved since cable length has to be considered for service performance.
• ITI/CNC WILL provide CSRs a quantity of 15’ and 25’ patch cables, per their request, to use when moving in computers and printers at large construction and remodels.
• Build or reno projects - a patch cable will be left at the jack with active service. A patch cable will not be provided if one is already connected.
• ITI Network Maintenance to keep the warehouse stocked with patch cable.
• If a customer needs a patch cable but it is not part of a network project or service activation, then the CSR may provide them with one from the stock.
• If we are out on a trouble ticket and find the patch cable is the issue, then we will replace it.
